These shoes are minimalist, which means you can feel the ground under your feet like moccasins. If you don’t like the laces, you can replace them with better ones. I have walked more than 20 miles on a dry lake bed and you can see how they look in the picture. I don’t run, I walk, because I am older. These shoes are meant for natural walking. It took me three walks to break them in and I applied some boot oil to them and dried them in the oven with the pilot light on. The only thing he suggested to improve was the traction.
